About Psychology Presents: What are the three Viennese Schools of Psychotherapy?

This is an easy one.  There were basically three schools of thought about how people change that came from roughly the same area of the world.  The first was Sigmund Freud’s idea that people do what they do because they want pleasure.  The second school of thought was Alfred Adler’s individual therapy that said people do what they do because they want power.  Finally, the third was Viktor Frankl who said people do what they do because they want meaning.  If you can help someone get what they want, mental health issues will disappear.
